What you’ll learn
We’ll walk you through how the TrumpRx program works, who can use it, and when it may help lower out-of-pocket prescription medication costs. You’ll also learn how QuickMD providers can help with medical evaluations, prescribe medications when appropriate, and how you can use TrumpRx to access discounted pricing when filling your prescription, if it makes sense for you.
Prescription medication costs remain a major concern for many Americans, especially for people who pay out of pocket or whose insurance does not cover certain medications. TrumpRx is one option people can use to find potential savings.
What is TrumpRx?
TrumpRx.gov is a U.S. government-operated prescription medication website launched on February 5, 2026. It was announced at a White House event where President Trump described it as a way to deliver lower medication prices to Americans.“This launch represents the largest reduction in prescription drug prices in history by many, many times, and it’s not even close,” said President Trump.
TrumpRx lists discounted cash prices for select brand-name medications that participating manufacturers have agreed to offer at reduced prices. Under these agreements, certain U.S. drug prices are “in line with the lowest paid by other developed nations,” referred to as Most-Favored-Nation pricing according to the White House Fact Sheet.
As of launch, TrumpRx lists pricing for more than 40 medications from multiple manufacturers, including Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, and others that have signed Most-Favored-Nation pricing agreements.
The initial list includes select insulin medications, fertility medications, and certain GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, and Zepbound®. According to the White House Fact Sheet, additional medications may be added over time.
Because TrumpRx is new, pricing, participation, and availability may continue to evolve.
GoodRx’s role in TrumpRx
GoodRx helps support how pricing is displayed on TrumpRx. In a press release, GoodRx shared that they are “a core integration partner for TrumpRx, powering the pricing for leading brand medications.” According to ABC News, GoodRx further explained its role in a statement noting that, “The self-pay price is hosted on the GoodRx platform, and GoodRx then integrates the price into TrumpRx.”
This means TrumpRx brings together federal pricing agreements and existing prescription pricing infrastructure in one place, helping make pricing information easier to find.
How does TrumpRx work?
TrumpRx does not sell or dispense medications. Instead, it functions as a pricing and access platform.
Through TrumpRx, you can:
- View discounted cash prices for select prescription medications
- Download or print coupons linked to participating manufacturers or pharmacies
- Access links that direct you to approved pharmacy or manufacturer fulfillment options
To use TrumpRx:
- Visit TrumpRx.gov
- Search for your prescribed medication
- Download or print the available coupon or follow the provided purchase link
- Fill your prescription at a participating pharmacy or manufacturer website
- Pay the discounted listed cash price
Who can use TrumpRx?
TrumpRx is available to any patient with a valid prescription, regardless of whether you have insurance.
It may be especially helpful if:
- You pay for medications out of pocket
- Your insurance has a high deductible
- Your plan doesn’t cover certain higher-cost medications
If you already pay out of pocket for a medication or your insurance doesn’t cover it, TrumpRx can be a useful way to compare cash prices and access manufacturer-offered discounts.
In some cases, other pharmacy discounts or insurance copays may be lower, which is why comparing options can be helpful.
It’s important to note that, at this time, insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, are not integrated with TrumpRx pricing.
How we work together
To use TrumpRx pricing, you’ll still need a valid prescription from a licensed medical provider, and that’s where we can help.
You’ll start by booking an online visit with one of our licensed providers, available by phone or video on your schedule. During the visit, you can discuss your health history, current medications, and treatment goals, whether you’re seeking care for weight management with medications like Wegovy or Ozempic, or for other conditions commonly treated in urgent care.
If a prescription is medically appropriate, your QuickMD provider can issue it as part of your care plan. From there, you decide where to fill it. Whether that’s using TrumpRx to access discounted cash pricing, filling through a local pharmacy, or using a manufacturer’s website.
Popular medications now available on TrumpRx
For patients paying out of pocket, many widely used prescription medications have historically cost over $1,000 per month. Through TrumpRx’s negotiated pricing, eligible patients may access the same medications at lower out-of-pocket costs.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the popular medications with discounted pricing listed on TrumpRx:
| Medications | TrumpRx discounted price | Original cash-pay price |
| Wegovy® pill | $149/month | $1,349/month |
| Wegovy® pen | $199/month | $1,349/month |
| Zepbound® | $299/month | $1,087/month |
| Ozempic® | $199/month | $1,028/month |
At QuickMD, we can prescribe these medications when medically appropriate. You can book an online visit with one of our providers, discuss your health history and goals, and receive a prescription if it’s a good fit for you, often as soon as today.
How you can pair QuickMD care with TrumpRx
Think of QuickMD as the place you access medical care, including prescriptions, and TrumpRx as one option to explore savings when it’s time to fill that prescription. TrumpRx can help lower the cost of filling certain prescriptions, but it doesn’t replace the medical steps required to get one.
Before you can use TrumpRx pricing for medications like Wegovy, Zepbound, or Ozempic, you need to be evaluated by a licensed provider and receive a valid prescription. That evaluation is an important part of using these medications safely, as they may not be right for everyone and require screening for certain conditions, side effects, and medication interactions.
We help with that part.
With QuickMD, you can complete your visit online, receive a prescription when medically appropriate, often the same day, and then choose to use TrumpRx to access discounted pricing when filling your prescription at a participating pharmacy or through a manufacturer fulfillment option.
No matter where you fill your medication, ongoing care matters. Regular follow-ups help ensure your treatment stays safe, effective, and aligned with your goals. We’re here to guide you through each step, so you’re never navigating new medications or treatment decisions on your own.
Frequently asked questions about TrumpRx
Can you buy medications directly from TrumpRx?
No. TrumpRx does not sell or dispense medications. It provides pricing information and coupons that link you to participating pharmacies or manufacturer fulfillment programs.
How is TrumpRx different from GoodRx?
TrumpRx and GoodRx both help patients find lower cash prices on medications, but they are different kinds of tools with different roles.
TrumpRx is a federal website that lists manufacturer-negotiated cash prices and coupon offers for select brand-name medications. It shows prices and directs you to pharmacies or manufacturer purchase sites where you can fill your prescription. At launch, many of the prices shown on TrumpRx are powered by pricing data provided by GoodRx.
GoodRx is a private prescription savings platform and price-comparison tool people already use to find discounts at thousands of pharmacies across the U.S. It shows coupon codes and cash prices based on its own network and partnerships with pharmacies and manufacturers.
TrumpRx brings federal negotiated pricing together in one place (including pricing integrated from services like GoodRx), while GoodRx independently helps you compare prices and coupons across many pharmacies. The list of medications, prices, and where you can use them can differ between the two.
Who has agreed to Most-Favored-Nation pricing?
A growing group of major pharmaceutical companies has agreed to participate in the Trump administration’s Most-Favored-Nation pricing agreements. Earlier agreements were announced with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, EMD Serono, Eli Lilly, and Novo Nordisk.
Last month, nine additional companies reached agreements with the administration: Amgen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Genentech, Gilead, GSK, Merck, Novartis, and Sanofi. More recently, Johnson & Johnson also agreed to participate. With that addition, 15 of the 17 companies contacted by the administration have now signed agreements. The remaining companies that have not yet reached agreements are AbbVie and Regeneron.
Can I get TrumpRx prices at my local pharmacy?
It depends on the medication. Once you have a valid prescription, TrumpRx can show you discounted cash prices and explain how to access them. Some medications are available through coupon offers listed on TrumpRx, which can be used at participating local pharmacies nationwide. Other medications, especially certain specialty medications, may only be available at discounted prices through the manufacturer’s website.
