What is Medication-Assisted Treatment?
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a clinically proven approach that integrates medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat substance dependence, including 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and kratom dependence. Among the most promising and effective medications is buprenorphine-naloxone, commonly known as Suboxone®, which helps reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, supporting long-term recovery.

Suboxone (buprenorphine-naloxone) helps relieve withdrawal symptoms, reduce opioid cravings, and manage associated pain. It’s shown to be highly effective in treating opioid use disorder and supporting long-term recovery. Research also supports its use in treating dependence on other substances, including tianeptine as well as kratom and its active metabolite 7-OH, offering hope to patients facing a range of substance-related challenges.

I am interested in your addiction treatment services. How does it work?
QuickMD offers Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder and other substance dependencies in most states. Please check our service map for availability in your state.
All addiction treatment visits are $99. For new patients who have not previously received MAT care from QuickMD, the first visit includes one follow-up at no extra cost as long as it’s completed within 14 days of the first visit. Medication costs are not included and may vary based on the pharmacy you choose and your prescription drug coverage.
Your initial visit is called the induction appointment. During this visit, your provider will prescribe a 7-day supply of buprenorphine-naloxone (Suboxone®) to monitor your tolerance and adjust the dosage as needed.
After induction, you’ll continue with monthly follow-up visits as part of your ongoing treatment plan.
Is QuickMD MAT treatment truly remote or will I need to see a doctor in person?
QuickMD offers fully remote addiction treatment. Our licensed providers can initiate and manage treatment, including prescribing buprenorphine-naloxone (Suboxone®), without the need for an initial in-person visit. However, some states require annual or semi-annual in-person visits to maintain telemedicine-based addiction treatment. Please visit our in-person clinics page for more information about state requirements.
In what states is the addiction treatment service available?

To receive care, patients must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be physically located in the state that issued their valid photo ID at the time of the appointment
Please note:
- We are unable to send prescriptions across state lines, even if you’re located near a border.
- Suboxone® cannot be prescribed while you are traveling in a different state.
- Patients cannot change their address more than 1 time in a 6 month period.
If you accidentally schedule an appointment in the wrong state, our Patient Support team may reschedule your appointment with a provider licensed in your applicable state for an administrative fee of $35.
